Geneva On The Lake
Boutique Resort Hotel, Restaurant & Historic Gardens in the
Finger Lakes Wine Region of New York
Escape to a peaceful boutique resort hotel in the Finger Lakes, situated on a 10-acre bluff overlooking beautiful Seneca Lake in historic Geneva, New York. A landmark on the National Register of Historic Places and long-time AAA Four-Diamond Award Winner in hospitality, Geneva On The Lake was founded by Norbert H. Schickel Jr. in 1981, to be “an oasis, a little island of beauty, peace and friendliness in a busy world.”
Dear Visitors and Friends,
Valentine’s Day and February—a time to treasure romance is here. I just received this evocative and beautiful poem from a recent guest. With generous permission from Artist Poet DA Simmons, I share it with you.
Since arriving here from Boston in 1981 to work with my father Norbert, I have always marveled at the incredible beauty, wherever one casts an eye. The natural and architectural treasures on our 10 lakeside acres delight the soul. In these years, Geneva On The Lake has become a home away from home for so many guests.
We invite you to come and enjoy the warmth, comfort, and delicious meals, along with live music each evening. When the great outdoors beckon, there is nothing like a drive in the scenic Finger Lakes Region or a stroll along historic South Main Street in Geneva, “one of the prettiest little towns in America.”
We hope to see you soon.
Bill Schickel, General Manager
